A plunger works by forcing water into the throat of the toilet, hopefully forcing the clog down the line. This can be bad as the force of the water can cause the wax seal under the toilet to break and thus causing water damage to your ceiling or subfloor.
At Avery and Sons we only use plungers on sinks and always use a heavy duty toilet auger on toilet clogs that have a local obstruction.
We hope that helps and you will consider Avery & Sons for all your toilet, clog, and plumbing needs.
